Worship is God’s mandate to us as Christians.  We at First Baptist seek to worship God in spirit and truth.  We seek to worship with all of our heart, all of our mind, all of our soul, and with all our strength. We seek to worship in a way that is honoring and pleasing to God. Our worship services at First Baptist Church are at 8:30 a.m., 11:00a.m. and 6:00 p.m. We invite you to join us this Sunday, and worship with us.

CHILDREN'S MUSIC CAMP AT FBC

One of the highlights of our summers at FBC is our annual summer music camp. Children gather for a full week each summer to learn about God, worship, and music!  Our camp is for children who have completed the 2nd grade to children who have completed the 6th grade.  The children have many opportunities from classes in individual instruments, to drama, to set design.  The camp is from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. daily, and we have a special fun activity on Friday afternoon.  We prepare a musical each year that is presented to the public on the Sunday evening following camp.  The dates of the camp are set in the spring of each year, and registration is limited.  For more information contact the music office at FBC 850-243-3163 or email .

CELEBRATION CHOIR

Our FBC Celebration Choir leads us in worship at our 8:30 worship service.  The Celebration Choir also prepares and presents three to four major musicals each year, and we are involved in various special ministry projects throughout the year.  This ministry is open to all adults 18 years old and up, and we encourage you to join us in this ministry of scriptural based praise and worship.  Rehearsals are each Wednesday at 6:30.  Join us this week!

PRAISE TEAM and PRAISE BAND

Our FBC Praise Team and Praise Band lead our 11:00 worship service.  Our Praise Band and Praise Team also take part in our major musical presentations and special events.  Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings at 8:00.  This is an auditioned group, and we encourage you to contact us about being a part of this exciting ministry of FBC.  For information call the music office at 850-243-3163 or email .

CHILDREN’S CHOIRS

Children are important to us at FBC, and we feel it’s vitally important they learn to lift their voices in praise and worship at an early age.  Our Children’s Choirs meet Wednesday evenings at 5:45, and we encourage all children ages four through the fifth grade to join us. Our Children’s Choir ministry presents several special music presentations throughout the year, and frequently joins our adults in their presentations. Join us Wednesdays at 5:45!

CELEBRATION ORCHESTRA

Our Celebration Orchestra participates in our 8:30 worship service. Their rehearsal time is Wednesday at 6:00 in the sanctuary. Our orchestra plays for all of our major music ministry presentations. If you play an instrument, we need you!  

STUDENT PRAISE TEAM AND BAND

Our student praise team and praise band lead in worship during our Wednesday night student worship service.  The praise band and praise team also lead in other speical events throughout the year.  Participation is by audition, and rehearsals are Sunday afternoons.  If you are interested in this ministry, contact the music or student ministries office.

HANDBELLS

Our handbells ministry is seasonal, and usually associated with one of our major presentations or our summer music camp ministries.  If you're interested in ringing let us know.  We will be using bells in our 2009 Christmas presentation.
