moment they are born. For this reason, The Preschool Ministry seeks
to teach all ages from birth through Kindergarten.

Friends
Prayer and Parenting meets the first and third Wednesday of
each month. This is a time for parents to share things they are
dealing with and to pray for each other. Childcare is provided. This
group is perfect for those seeking to make some Christian friends
that are also trying to raise Godly children.
Volunteer Screening
We want every child to feel loved while they are at First Baptist.
We also want parents to feel safe leaving their children in our
care. This is why we screen all volunteers (including a criminal
background check) before they serve with any child or youth under
the age of 18.
To serve with Minors at First Baptist Church, you must:

Complete an
application for ministry and background check authorization
form.

Be a member of FBC
for at least 6 months

Complete an
interview with a church leader

Meet any training
or other requirements

Sunday School is a small
group Bible-study for all ages. Preschoolers are divided into
classes by age and development and are taught about God's Word in a
developmentally appropriate manner. Our teachers demonstrate God's
love to the children they teach and would love to meet you and your

The Extended Teaching Care (ETC) program continues the
learning that begins in Sunday School. While parents are in the
Worship Service, preschoolers are cared for by loving volunteers.
Repetitive teaching is key to help preschoolers learn, and ETC
allows children to have double exposure to the items taught each
week in Sunday School.
TLC
stands for Tender Love and Care. We want preschoolers to
know that they are loved and that church is a good place to come.
Children are cared for by loving adults and are taught of God's love
through example while parents are in worship.
Preschool Choir.
Most children love to sing, and choir is all about singing.
Preschoolers are introduced to musical concepts and learn about
worship while having a great time. The preschool choir is divided
into two groups. The Mommy and Me choir is for children under 4
years of age and the Cherub Choir is for 4-5 year olds. For more

Mission Friends.
God has made a great and wonderful world for us. In Mission
Friends, Preschoolers learn about God's World and about how
people all over it learn about Him. Each month a different
missionary is highlighted along with the place that he or she
ministers. Preschoolers taste foods and play games from around the
world to help them understand that there are many types of people on
Earth, but that we all need to know about Jesus. Come join the fun
every Wednesday beginning at 6:30 in the Preschool Area!!
